Sheetrock!

So to bring everyone up to speed here are a series of pictures.

First up, our sound isolation system.
Using rubber isolators, metal hat channel, two layer of sheet rock, and a product called green glue, we hope to acoustically separate the two units.

The reason for the strips of Sheetrock on the track is because I messed up the depth of our light boxes... they were sitting between 1/8" and 1/2" two low... so I had to shim the entire ceiling to make sure the lights came our correctly.

Here a few more pictures of the rest of the house.

Once our isolation system was in place, it was time to Sheetrock.
We hired a team of guys to come in and knock this out. If I had to guess, it would have taken Evan, Alec and myself at least 6 weeks to hang the rock, tape and mud it.
After two days, the Sheetrockers completed about 90% of the house. We will have a screw inspection tomorrow and they will most likely be done tomorrow or Wednesday.

Update Time

So yeah..... I have really neglected my house blogging for the last 5 months or so... but if anyone actually comes back to look at this, here's an update.

All electrical work is completed, inspected and signed off
All plumbing work is completed, inspected and signed off
All mechanical work is completed, inspected and signed off
All insulation work is completed, inspected and signed off

In fact, we now have the entire house signed off to the point we can start to sheet rock.
We have also decided that we are going to pay someone to sheet rock it because it should knock a month off the project...

Here are a few pictures of the insulation and our attempts to stiffen up the floor above.

Currently

I know, I know… It’s been a month since my last post.
Well the lack of posting means progress with working.
It has been nonstop insanity since Bay Concrete wrapped up.
As of right now the electrical is about 95% roughed in, the plumbing should be all but wrapped up by the end of this weekend, and we still have all the ductwork to do.

So… here are some pictures to catch you up from the last time I posted.
